Designing a unified system that powers internal operations and B2B partnerships

Opportunity & Context

With an existing investor base of over 20,000 users, and the capacity to support other financial institutions through Private Markets as a Service, we saw the need for a scalable platform — one that not only streamlines internal operations but can also be white-labeled and adapted by our B2B partners to manage their own investor workflows.

The Challenge

We needed a single, flexible tool that could:

  • Support the day-to-day workflows of our internal teams across onboarding, client servicing, and data management.

  • Serve as a white-label platform for external financial institutions to manage their own investor base — under their own branding and operational logic.

  • Be scalable, data-rich, and configurable enough to adapt to varying use cases, without compromising on usability.

Solution & Role

As the end-to-end designer, I led the design of this dual-purpose platform, working at the intersection of internal operations and B2B product design.

Key aspects of my contribution:

  • Designed a cohesive system that supports both internal team workflows and external client needs.

  • Built a modular design system to accommodate branding, layout, and user experience variations across different white-label clients.

  • Collaborated closely with product, operations, and engineering to translate complex requirements into intuitive interfaces.

  • Enabled visibility into platform activity through pervasive data pipelines and dashboards, unlocking insights and monetisation opportunities for both internal teams and clients.

This platform became more than just a tool — it is now a strategic asset, supporting our internal business operations while extending our reach and value to B2B partners.

Highlighted Modules

While the platform supports various needs, a few core modules were key to shaping the user experience and operations. Click through to explore each one in detail and see how they connect within the investor platform:

Impact

  1. Improved internal efficiency and cross-functional workflows for 20k+ investor base

  2. Empowered external financial institutions with a fully white-labeled investor management system to operate under their own brand

  3. Established a scalable foundation for our Private Markets as a Service offering

  4. This tool is now a critical part of both our internal operations and B2B strategy — and as adoption grows, so does the platform. I remain closely involved in refining the experience, expanding new modules, and ensuring the system continues to scale with the needs of our business and clients.

What I Learned

  1. Designing one tool for two distinct users taught me how to prioritize flexibility and modularity.

  2. System thinking was key — both in interface and in collaboration.

  3. Building tools that are invisible to end-users, but critical to the business, is deeply rewarding.
